Job Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Perform regular balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness and resolve any discrepancies identified during reconciliations.
- Prepare supporting documentation for all balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring all entries are properly documented and approved.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing necessary journal entries.
- Review the accuracy of journal entries and other accounting records.
- Compile and prepare monthly management reports, including financial statements and other key performance indicators.
- Analyse financial data and provide insights to support decision-making processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of management reports.
- Identify ways to improve accounting processes and systems.
- Support system and process improvements
- Ad hoc duties where required
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Proficiency in both English and Mandarin is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounting, finance or similar roles
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work under deadlines
- Attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly and think outside of the box
